A matched pair of Meissen sweetmeat dishes, late 19th century, probably outside decorated, modelled as a reclining young man and woman holding a pierced basket, (a.f), blue crossed swords marks, each approx. 29cm. length, (2).

Male- losses to black bow in hair. Chip to little finger of right hand. Chips to three toes on right foot. Handles of baskets lacking. Some chips to applied flowers and leaves. Glaze blemish to his forehead.

Female- glaze chip to one toe. Handles of basket lacking. Some losses to applied flowers and leaves. Cracks across base.
