A live steam model of a horizontal mill engine, 20th century, the single slide valve cylinder with steam passage arranged on top of the valve chest, the crosshead running in twin guide bars, the crankshaft with main bearings raised on plummer blocks, centralised crank, S-spoked flywheel and separate power take-off pulley, all on cast bedplate raised on four turned brass feet. Un-machined areas finished in red, 18in (46cm) long.
